PLANS AND PERMITTING FOR COUNTY PARKS AND RECREATION FACILITIES  (WASSP-1(12))

 

Description

Under Rule 7(B) of the Rules of the Council, the Committee intends to receive comments and discuss matters on plans and permitting for County parks and recreation facilities.

 

Status

The Committee may receive comments from representatives of the Department of Parks and Recreation; the Department of Planning; the Department of Public Works; and the State Historic Preservation Division, on the Department of Parks and Recreation’s long-term strategic plan for parks, including Lahaina parks following the August 2023 fires.  The Committee may also discuss the Department’s building maintenance plan, historic building regulations, including for the Hāna Community Center, and state and county permitting for parks facilities.  The Committee may discuss other related matters.  No legislative action will be taken.
