DISCUSSION OF BILL 92 (2024), AMENDING FISCAL YEAR 2024 BUDGET: JOHNSON CONTROLS ENERGY PERFORMANCE CONTRACT (BFED-21(22))
Description
Under Rule 7(B) of the Rules of the Council, the Committee intends to discuss the following:
1. Bill 92 (2024), which includes a proposed $29,927,529 appropriation for the Fiscal Year 2024 Budget entitled “Johnson Controls Energy Performance Contract.” Bill 92 passed first reading at the Council’s meeting of May 21, 2024, and remains with the Council for consideration of passage on second and final reading; and
2. Financial Statement Finding 2023-002 in the County’s Single Audit Reports for the Fiscal Year ended June 30, 2023, submitted by N&K CPAs, Inc., relating to financial reporting for the energy performance contract with Johnson Controls, Inc.
Status
The Committee may discuss matters relating to Bill 92 (2024) and other related matters, including Financial Statement Finding 2023-002 in the County’s Single Audit Reports. No legislative action will be taken.
