Description
Under Rule 7(B) of the Rules of the Council, the Committee intends to receive an update and discuss matters on avian influenza (bird flu) and prevention methods.
Status
The Committee may receive comments relating to avian influenza (bird flu), prevention methods to follow for the public’s safety, and how to keep the risk of avian influenza low in the State of Hawaiʻi from Dr. Aurora Villarroel, Veterinary Medical Officer, State Department of Agriculture, and a representative from the State Department of Health. The Committee may also discuss other related matters. No legislative action will be taken.
