RESOLUTION 25-223, APPOINTING MAX TSAI TO THE POLICE COMMISSION (GREAT-2(8))
Description
The Committee is in receipt of the following:
1. Resolution 25-223, entitled “APPOINTMENT OF MAX TSAI TO THE POLICE COMMISSION FOR THE COUNTY OF MAUI.” Resolution 25-223’s purpose is to consider the nominee listed on Exhibit “A,” approve the person listed on Exhibit “B” as a member to the Police Commission for a term expiring March 31, 2028, and disapprove the person listed on Exhibit “C.” The nominee to the Police Commission is Max Tsai.
2. Correspondence dated December 5, 2025, from the Mayor, transmitting an application for the nominee.
Status
The Council must approve or disapprove the nomination by January 5, 2026, or the nomination will be deemed approved. The Committee may receive a presentation from the Office of the Mayor and interview the nominee. The Committee may also discuss Resolution 25-223 and other related matters. No legislative action will be taken.
