Description
The Committee is in receipt of Bill 61 (2026), entitled “A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A NEW CHAPTER 3.101, MAUI COUNTY CODE, FOR A FISCAL RESERVE FUND.” Bill 61’s purpose is to establish a fiscal reserve fund for the County to use as a temporary, supplemental funding source during periods of financial hardship, revenue loss, revenue reduction, or slower revenue growth.
Status
The Committee may consider whether to recommend passage of Bill 61 (2026) on first reading, with or without revisions. The Committee may also consider the filing of Bill 61 (2026) and other related action.
