AMENDING FISCAL YEAR 2017 BUDGET: DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS (MOLOKAI BASEYARD) (BF-24)
Description
The Committee is in receipt of County Communication 17-40, from the Budget Director, transmitting the following:
1. A proposed bill entitled “A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2017 BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF MAUI AS IT PERTAINS TO ESTIMATED REVENUES; DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS, MOLOKAI COMMUNITY PLAN AREA, GOVERNMENT FACILITIES, MOLOKAI BASEYARD; TOTAL CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT APPROPRIATIONS; AND TOTAL APPROPRIATIONS (OPERATING AND CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS.” The purpose of the proposed bill is to amend the Fiscal Year 2017 Budget by 1) increasing Bond/Lapsed Bond by $3,236,000; and 2) increasing the appropriation by $3,236,000 under the Department of Public Works, Molokai Community Plan Area, Government Facilities, Bond Fund, for the Molokai Baseyard project.
2. A proposed bill entitled “A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 4331, BILL NO. 59 (2016), RELATING TO THE ISSUANCE OF GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS OF THE COUNTY OF MAUI (MOLOKAI BASEYARD).” The purpose of the proposed bill is to amend the Fiscal Year 2017 general obligation bond authorization ordinance by increasing the appropriation by $3,236,000 under the Department of Public Works, Molokai Community Plan Area, Government Facilities, for the Molokai Baseyard project.
3. A proposed bill entitled “A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2017 BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF MAUI AS IT PERTAINS TO APPENDIX C - CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS, DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS, MOLOKAI COMMUNITY PLAN AREA, MOLOKAI BASEYARD.” The purpose of the proposed bill is to amend the Fiscal Year 2017 Budget, Appendix C, Capital Improvement Projects, by 1) increasing the appropriation by $3,236,000 under the Department of Public Works, Molokai Community Plan Area, for the Molokai Baseyard project; and 2) revising the description of the project.
Status
The Committee may consider whether to recommend passage of the proposed bills on first reading, with or without revisions. The Committee may also consider the filing of County Communication 17-40 and other related action.
