AMENDING FISCAL YEAR 2017 BUDGET: DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS (SOUTH KIHEI ROAD CULVERT REPLACEMENT AT WAIAKOA) (BF-25)
Description
The Committee is in receipt of County Communication 17-41, from the Budget Director, transmitting the following:
1. A proposed bill entitled “A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2017 BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF MAUI AS IT PERTAINS TO ESTIMATED REVENUES; DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS, KIHEI-MAKENA COMMUNITY PLAN AREA, DRAINAGE, SOUTH KIHEI ROAD CULVERT REPLACEMENT AT WAIAKOA; TOTAL CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT APPROPRIATIONS; AND TOTAL APPROPRIATIONS (OPERATING AND CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS).” The purpose of the proposed bill is to amend the Fiscal Year 2017 Budget by 1) increasing Bond/Lapsed Bond by $2,100,000; and 2) adding an appropriation of $2,100,000 under the Department of Public Works, Kihei-Makena Community Plan Area, Drainage, Bond Fund, for the South Kihei Road Culvert Replacement at Waiakoa.
2. A proposed bill entitled “A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 4331, BILL NO. 59 (2016), RELATING TO THE ISSUANCE OF GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS OF THE COUNTY OF MAUI (SOUTH KIHEI ROAD CULVERT REPLACEMENT AT WAIAKOA).” The purpose of the proposed bill is to amend the Fiscal Year 2017 general obligation bond authorization ordinance by adding an appropriation of $2,100,000 under the Department of Public Works, Kihei-Makena Community Plan Area, Drainage, for the South Kihei Road Culvert Replacement at Waiakoa.
3. A proposed bill entitled “A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2017 BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF MAUI AS IT PERTAINS TO APPENDIX C - CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS, DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS, KIHEI-MAKENA COMMUNITY PLAN AREA, SOUTH KIHEI ROAD CULVERT REPLACEMENT AT WAIAKOA.” The purpose of the proposed bill is to amend the Fiscal Year 2017 Budget, Appendix C, Capital Improvement Projects, by adding an appropriation of $2,100,000 under the Department of Public Works, Kihei-Makena Community Plan Area, for the South Kihei Road Culvert Replacement at Waiakoa.
Status
The Committee may consider whether to recommend passage of the proposed bills on first reading, with or without revisions. The Committee may also consider the filing of County Communication 17-41 and other related action.
