LITIGATION MATTERS (RESOLUTION 24-186, RELATING TO SETTLEMENT AUTHORIZATION: AUDRA SELLERS V. COUNTY OF MAUI POLICE DEPARTMENT, ET AL., CIVIL 2CCV-23-0000028(3))  (GREAT-11(50))

 

Description

The Committee is in receipt of the following:

1.                     Resolution 24-186, entitled “AUTHORIZING SETTLEMENT OF AUDRA SELLERS V. COUNTY OF MAUI POLICE DEPARTMENT, ET AL. CIVIL 2CCV-23-0000028(3).”  Resolution 24-186’s purpose is to approve settlement of the claim, filed on November 22, 2023.  The claim alleges unlawful employment discrimination and retaliation.

2.                     Correspondence dated November 12, 2024, from the Department of the Corporation Counsel, transmitting a copy of the Second Amended Complaint, filed on November 22, 2023.

 

Status

The Committee may consider whether to recommend adoption of Resolution 24-186, with or without revisions.  The Committee may also consider the filing of Resolution 24-186 and other related action.

 

Note
