RESOLUTION 24-137, AUTHORIZING SETTLEMENT OF LLOYD ADAMS, ET AL. V. TIMOTHY FORSBERG, ET AL. V. MAUI POLICE DEPARTMENT AND ANTHONY BUCHANAN; CASE 2CC16-1-0000162  (GREAT-11(48))

 

Description

The Committee is in receipt of the following:

1.                     Resolution 24-137, entitled “AUTHORIZING SETTLEMENT OF LLOYD ADAMS, ET AL. V. TIMOTHY FORSBERG, ET AL. V. MAUI POLICE DEPARTMENT AND ANTHONY BUCHANAN, CIVIL NO. 2CC16-1-0000162.”  Resolution 24-137’s purpose is to approve settlement of the claim, filed on March 30, 2016.  The claim alleges negligence from a motor vehicle versus pedestrian accident that occurred on March 26, 2015, in Hoʻolehua, Molokai, Hawai‘i.

2.                     Correspondence dated July 30, 2024, from the Department of the Corporation Counsel, with a copy of the First Amended Complaint, filed on October 10, 2019, and the Third-Party Complaint, filed on March 19, 2020.

 

Status

The Committee may consider whether to recommend adoption of Resolution 24-137, with or without revisions.  The Committee may also consider the filing of Resolution 24-137 and other related action.

 

Note
