Description
The Committee is in receipt of Bill 3 (2024), entitled “A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2.56.060, MAUI COUNTY CODE, RELATING TO FINANCIAL DISCLOSURE STATEMENTS.” Bill 3’s purpose is to: 1) implement Section 10-3 of the Revised Charter of the County of Maui (1983), as amended, approved by the electorate at the 2022 General Election; 2) update the procedure for filing of financial disclosure statements; and 3) provide increased security for County elections officials.
Status
The Committee may consider whether to recommend passage of Bill 3 (2024) on first reading, with or without revisions. The Committee may also consider the filing of Bill 3 (2024) and other related action.
