Description
The Committee is in receipt of Bill 69 (2026), entitled “A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SUBSECTION 3.36.190, MAUI COUNTY CODE, REGARDING UPFRONT DISBURSEMENTS AND INSTALLMENT PAYMENTS FOR GRANT RECIPIENTS.” Bill 69’s purpose is to provide flexibility in the disbursement process for County monetary grants by allowing County agencies, based on a determination of need, to provide grant funds to recipients in advance disbursements of 10 percent or more, installment payments, or both.
Status
The Committee may consider whether to recommend passage of Bill 69 (2026) on first reading, with or without revisions. The Committee may also consider the filing of Bill 69 (2026) and other related action.
