UPDATE ON PU‘UHONUA O NĒNĒ TEMPORARY SHELTER (WASSP-1(17))
Description
Under Rule 7(B) of the Rules of the Council, the Committee intends to receive an update on the Puʻuhonua o Nēnē temporary shelter.
Status
The Committee may receive comments from representatives of the Department of Police, Project Vision Hawaiʻi, and the State Department of Transportation relating to Puʻuhonua o Nēnē, a temporary shelter for those impacted by the August 2023 Maui wildfires who were unsheltered before the disaster, and other related initiatives to assist the unsheltered. The Committee may discuss the temporary shelter and other related matters. No legislative action will be taken.
