RESOLUTION 24-110, RELATING TO THE APPOINTMENT OF RICHARD MITCHELL AS DIRECTOR OF HOUSING (GREAT-1(13))
Description
The Committee is in receipt of Resolution 24-110, entitled “APPROVING THE APPOINTMENT OF RICHARD MITCHELL AS THE DIRECTOR OF THE DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING.” Resolution 24-110’s purpose is to approve the appointment of Richard Mitchell as the Director of the Department of Housing, effective July 1, 2024, in accordance with Section 8-20.2 of the Revised Charter of the County of Maui (1983), as amended.
Status
The Committee may consider whether to recommend adoption of Resolution 24-110 to approve the appointment, with or without revisions. The Committee may also consider whether to revise Resolution 24-110 to disapprove the appointment and other related action.
Note
With reference to this agenda item, one or more executive meetings are anticipated in accordance with Section 92-5(a)(2), Hawaiʻi Revised Statutes, to consider the hire, evaluation, dismissal, or discipline of officers or employees; and Section 92-5(a)(4), Hawaiʻi Revised Statutes, to consult with legal counsel on questions and issues pertaining to the powers, duties, privileges, immunities, and liabilities of the County, the Council, and the Committee.
