RESOLUTION 24-15, RELATING TO THE APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS TO THE INDEPENDENT NOMINATION BOARD (GREAT-17)
Description
The Committee is in receipt of the following:
1. Resolution 24-15, entitled “APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS TO THE INDEPENDENT NOMINATION BOARD FOR THE COUNTY OF MAUI.” Resolution 24-15’s purpose is to approve or disapprove the appointments of Viola Kauakea Diego (East Maui) and Kilia Waiomina Ilona Purdy-Avelino (Molokai) as members to the Independent Nomination Board.
2. Correspondence dated January 29, 2024, from the Mayor, with completed application forms for the nominees.
Status
The Committee may consider whether to recommend adoption of Resolution 24-15, with or without revisions. The Committee may also consider filing Resolution 24-15 and other related action.

With reference to this agenda item, one or more executive meetings are anticipated under Section 92-5(a)(2), Hawaiʻi Revised Statutes, to consider the hire, evaluation, dismissal, or discipline of officers or employees.
