LITIGATION MATTERS (RESOLUTION 24-117, AUTHORIZING THE EMPLOYMENT OF SPECIAL COUNSEL HAWKINS DELAFIELD & WOOD LLP, FOR THE COUNTY OF MAUI 2024 GENERAL OBLIGATION BOND ISSUANCE AND OTHER BONDS) (GREAT-11(44))

 

Description

The Committee is in receipt of the following:

1.                     Resolution 24-117, entitled “AUTHORIZING THE EMPLOYMENT OF SPECIAL COUNSEL HAWKINS DELAFIELD & WOOD LLP, FOR THE COUNTY OF MAUI 2024 GENERAL OBLIGATION BOND ISSUANCE AND OTHER BONDS.”  Resolution 24-117’s purpose is to authorize the employment of the firm HAWKINS DELAFIELD & WOOD LLP as bond counsel and disclosure counsel to represent the County of Maui during its 2024 General Obligation Bond Issuance and other bonds for a total compensation not to exceed $54,000.

2.                     Correspondence dated June 13, 2024, from the Acting Director of Finance, with a copy of Contract No. C8293.

 

Status

The Committee may consider whether to recommend adoption of Resolution 24-117, with or without revisions.  The Committee may also consider the filing of Resolution 24-117 and other related action.

 

Note
