Description
The Committee is in receipt of Bill 26 (2024), entitled “A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE COUNTY OF MAUI, TO ENTER INTO AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH PURDUE UNIVERSITY.” Bill 26’s purpose is to authorize the Mayor to enter into an intergovernmental agreement with Purdue University with an intent to commit $20,000 to be used for the purchase of experimental supplies, labor and travel, and unspecified in-kind contributions of staff time and expertise for the Water Research Foundation fire project.
Status
The Committee may consider whether to recommend passage of Bill 26 (2024) on first reading, with or without revisions. The Committee may also consider the filing of Bill 26 (2024) and other related action.
