AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2019 BUDGET: DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT (HAWAIIAN HOMES FORCE MAIN REPLACEMENT) (BF-167)
Description
The Committee is in receipt of County Communication 18-311, from the Budget Director, transmitting the following:
1. A proposed bill entitled "A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2019 BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF MAUI AS IT PERTAINS TO ESTIMATED REVENUES; DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT, WAILUKU-KAHULUI COMMUNITY PLAN AREA, SEWER, HAWAIIAN HOMES FORCE MAIN REPLACEMENT; TOTAL CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT APPROPRIATIONS; AND TOTAL APPROPRIATIONS (OPERATING AND CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS)." The purpose of the proposed bill is to amend the Fiscal Year 2019 Budget by 1) increasing Carryover/Savings from the Sewer Fund by $253,000; 2) amending Section 4.A.6.c.(1), Department of Environmental Management, Wailuku Kahului Community Plan Area, Sewer, Sewer Fund, by adding an appropriation of $253,000 for the Hawaiian Homes Force Main Replacement project; and 3) adjusting the totals accordingly.
2. A proposed bill entitled "A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2019 BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF MAUI AS IT PERTAINS TO APPENDIX C - CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS, DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT, WAILUKU-KAHULUI COMMUNITY PLAN AREA, HAWAIIAN HOMES FORCE MAIN REPLACEMENT." The purpose of the proposed bill is to amend the Fiscal Year 2019 Budget, Appendix C, Capital Improvement Projects, by adding an appropriation of $253,000 under the Department of Environmental Management, Wailuku-Kahului Community Plan Area, for the Hawaiian Homes Force Main Replacement; and a description of the project.
3. A Certification of Additional Revenue, dated August 31, 2018, for $253,000 from Carryover Savings from the Sewer Fund.
