Description

The Committee is in receipt of the following:

1.                     Resolution 24-48, entitled “AUTHORIZING THE GRANT OF REAL PROPERTY TO HALE MAKUA HEALTH SERVICES.”  Resolution 24-48’s purpose is to authorize the grant and disposition of real property located at 472 Laau Street, Kahului, Hawaii, tax map key (2) 3-8-007:084, comprising 8.02 acres, to Hale Makua Health Services, to assist in their efforts to improve and expand healthcare services to the community.

2.                     Correspondence dated March 7, 2024, from the Committee Chair to the Department of the Corporation Counsel, transmitting a proposed CD1 version of Resolution 24-48, entitled “AUTHORIZING THE GRANT AND DISPOSITION OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT 472 LAAU STREET, KAHULUI, HAWAII, TO HALE MAKUA HEALTH SERVICES.”  The proposed CD1 version changes the Resolution’s title, clarifies that it is in the public interest to dispose of the real property, waives the requirement of public auction and appraisal, and incorporates nonsubstantive revisions.

Status

The Committee may consider whether to recommend adoption of the proposed CD1 version of Resolution 24-48, with or without further revisions.  The Committee may also consider the filing of Resolution 24-48 and other related action.
