AMENDMENTS TO APPENDIX A, GRANT REVENUE - SCHEDULE OF GRANTS BY DEPARTMENTS AND PROGRAMS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2018 (DEPARTMENT OF FIRE AND PUBLIC SAFETY (NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND RESEARCH INSTITUTES, INC.)) (BF-61(13))

 

Description

The Committee is in receipt of a correspondence dated December 19, 2017, from the Budget Director, transmitting a proposed bill entitled “A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2018 BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF MAUI AS IT PERTAINS TO APPENDIX A, PART I, GRANT REVENUE - SCHEDULE OF GRANTS BY DEPARTMENTS AND PROGRAMS, DEPARTMENT OF FIRE AND PUBLIC SAFETY (NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND RESEARCH INSTITUTES, INC.).  The purpose of the proposed bill is to amend Appendix A, Part I, Grant Revenue - Schedule of Grants by Departments and Programs, Fiscal Year 2018 Budget, by adding a new grant for the Department of Fire and Public Safety, entitled “National Development and Research Institutes, Inc.,” in the amount of $40,000.  The Department of Fire and Public Safety participated in the Evaluation of the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation’s Behavioral Health Stress First Aid Intervention project.

 

Status

The Committee may consider whether to recommend passage of the proposed bill on first reading, with or without revisions.  The Committee may also consider the filing of the correspondence and other related action.
