RESOLUTION 24-50, AUTHORIZING THE COUNCIL CHAIR TO ISSUE A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS AND CONTRACT FOR PREPARATION OF A ROAD AND PUBLIC INFRASTRUCTURE MASTER PLAN CONSISTENT WITH THE WEST MAUI COMMUNITY PLAN FOR THE WILDFIRE-AFFECTED AREAS IN WEST MAUI  (WAI-21)

 

Description

The Committee is in receipt of Resolution 24-50, entitled “AUTHORIZING THE COUNCIL CHAIR TO ISSUE A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS AND CONTRACT FOR THE PREPARATION OF A ROAD AND PUBLIC INFRASTRUCTURE MASTER PLAN CONSISTENT WITH THE WEST MAUI COMMUNITY PLAN FOR THE WILDFIRE-AFFECTED AREAS IN WEST MAUI.”  Resolution 24-50’s purpose is to authorize the Council Chair to issue a request for proposals and contract for the preparation of a comprehensive West Maui master plan that identifies public infrastructure, road improvement, and road extension needs to address the redevelopment of the wildfire-affected areas of Lahaina, consistent with the West Maui Community Plan and West Maui residents’ input.

 

Status

The Committee may consider whether to recommend adoption of Resolution 24-50, with or without revisions.  The Committee may also consider the filing of Resolution 24-50 and other related action.
