RESOLUTION 26-137, REFERRING TO THE MAUI PLANNING COMMISSION A PROPOSED BILL TO CHANGE THE ZONING TO B-2 COMMUNITY BUSINESS DISTRICT FOR SIX PARCELS IN THE MĀ‘ALAEA TRIANGLE, MĀ‘ALAEA, HAWAI‘I (MAUI OCEAN CENTER) (WAI-26)
Description
The Committee is in receipt of Resolution 26-137, entitled “REFERRING TO THE MAUI PLANNING COMMISSION A PROPOSED BILL TO CHANGE THE ZONING TO B-2 COMMUNITY BUSINESS DISTRICT FOR SIX PARCELS IN THE MĀʻALAEA TRIANGLE IDENTIFIED FOR REAL PROPERTY TAX PURPOSES AS TAX MAP KEYS (2) 3-6-008:001, 002, 003, 005, 011, AND 013, MĀʻALAEA, HAWAIʻI (MAUI OCEAN CENTER).” Resolution 26-137’s purpose is to refer to the Maui Planning Commission a proposed bill to change the zoning to B-2 Community Business District for six contiguous parcels identified for Real Property Tax purposes as Tax Map Keys (2) 3-6-008:001, 002, 003, 005, 011, and 013, Mā‘alaea, Hawaiʻi, collectively comprising 10.357 acres.
Status
The Committee may receive a presentation from a representative of the landowners, Maui Ocean Center, Inc. and Maui Harbor Shops LP. The Committee may consider whether to recommend adoption of Resolution 26-137, with or without revisions. The Committee may also consider the filing of Resolution 26-137 and other related action.
