COMMUNITY FORESTRY (ADEPT-1(6))
Description
Under Rule 7(B) of the Rules of the Council, the Committee intends to receive presentations and discuss matters relating to community forestry.
Status
The Committee may receive presentations from 1) Elaine Malina, Treasurer, and Amy Muramatsu, Secretary, Maui Green & Beautiful, on the organization’s citizen forestry initiatives and participation in Hawai‘i’s “Year of Our Community Forests” campaign; and 2) Karen Comcowich, Planner, Department of Planning; and Kimberly Thayer, Partner, SR Partners LLC, on the Maui County Urban Forest Management Plan. The Committee may also discuss other related matters. No legislative action will be taken.
