Title

BILL 42 (2023), RELATING TO GENERAL PROVISIONS FOR SUBDIVISIONS AND HISTORIC PROPERTIES  (WAI-8)

 

Description

The Committee is in receipt of the following:

1.                     Bill 42 (2023), entitled “A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE RELATING TO HISTORIC PROPERTY.”  Bill 42’s purpose is to amend Chapter 18.04, Maui County Code, by adding a new section to exempt subdivisions that create separate lots for the preservation of historic properties from the requirements of Title 18.

2.                     An Amendment Summary Form dated November 21, 2023, from Committee Chair Cook with a proposed CD1 version of Bill 42 (2023).  The proposed CD1 version amends the bill’s title and amends the general provisions of Title 18 for the preservation of historic properties.

 

Status

The Committee may consider whether to recommend passage of the proposed CD1 version of Bill 42 (2023) on first reading, with or without further revisions.  The Committee may also consider the filing of Bill 42 (2023) and other related action.
