BILL 79 (2022), EXEMPTIONS FOR AGRICULTURAL WATER CONSUMERS FROM RESTRICTIONS OR MANDATES DURING WATER SHORTAGES  (ADEPT-9)

 

Description

The Committee is in receipt of Bill 79 (2022), entitled “A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 14.06A.080, MAUI COUNTY CODE, RELATING TO EXEMPTIONS FOR AGRICULTURAL WATER CONSUMERS FROM RESTRICTIONS OR MANDATES DURING WATER SHORTAGES.”  Bill 79’s purpose is to increase the amount of time agricultural water consumers are exempted from water shortage restrictions or mandates imposed by Section 14.06A.060, Maui County Code, from 90 days to 180 days.

 

Status

The Committee may consider whether to recommend passage of Bill 79 (2022) on first reading, with or without revisions.  The Committee may also consider the filing of Bill 79 (2022) and other related action.
