EMERGENCY FUND STATUS AND USE (BFED-20(33))
Description
Under Rule 7(B) of the Rules of the Council, the Committee intends to discuss the Emergency Fund. The discussion may include the Fund’s balance and adequacy, authorized uses, appropriations, and expenditures since August 2023. The expenditure discussed may include those associated with the August 2023 Maui wildfires, the Kona Low storms, and Hurricanes Lala and Lowell. The discussion may also include the payees, amounts, and purposes of those expenditures; anticipated expenditures; and possible reimbursements from the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
Status
The Committee may receive information and discuss the Emergency Fund, including its balance and adequacy, authorized uses, appropriations, expenditures since August 2023, possible reimbursements, and other related matters. No legislative action will be taken.
