INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE HAWAII HOUSING FINANCE AND DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION FOR THE HOUSING TRUST FUND PROGRAM (BF-154)
Description
The Committee is in receipt of the following:
1. County Communication 18-223, from the Director of Housing and Human Concerns, transmitting a proposed bill entitled “A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE COUNTY OF MAUI TO ENTER INTO AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE HAWAII HOUSING FINANCE AND DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION FOR THE HOUSING TRUST FUND PROGRAM.” The purpose of the proposed bill is to authorize the Mayor to enter into an intergovernmental agreement with the Hawaii Housing Finance and Development Corporation for the Housing Trust Fund Program, in the amount of $1,425,000.
2. Correspondence dated May 31, 2018, from the Director of Housing and Human Concerns, transmitting a copy of the Notice of Award from the Hawaii Housing Finance and Development Corporation awarding $1,425,000 from the Housing Trust Fund Program to the County of Maui for Fiscal Year 2018.
Status
The Committee may consider whether to recommend passage of the proposed bill on first reading, with or without revisions. The Committee may also consider the filing of County Communication 18-223 and other related action.
