RESOLUTION 25-108, APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS TO THE MAUI PLANNING COMMISSION  (GREAT-2(2))

 

Description

The Committee is in receipt of the following:

1.                     Resolution 25-108, entitled “APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS to the MAUI PLANNING COMMISSION FOR THE COUNTY OF MAUI.” Resolution 25-108’s purpose is to consider the nominees listed on Exhibit “A,” approve the person(s) listed on Exhibit “B” as a member to the Maui Planning Commission for terms expiring March 31, 2030, and disapprove the person(s) listed on Exhibit “C.” The nominees to the Maui Planning Commission are Christopher Jon Elizares (Upcountry, Native Hawaiian Cultural Practitioner) and Crichton Kaʻuiki Lind (East Maui).

2.                     Correspondence dated and received on April 30, 2025, from the Office of the Mayor, transmitting completed applications for the nominees.

 

Status

The Council must approve or disapprove the nominations by May 30, 2025, or the nominations will be deemed approved. The Committee may receive a presentation from the Office of the Mayor and interview the nominees. The Committee may also discuss Resolution 25-108 and other related matters. No legislative action will be taken.
