RESOLUTION 26-123, AUTHORIZING A WAIVER UNDER SECTION 2.50.060, MAUI COUNTY CODE, FROM THE REQUIREMENTS OF CODE SECTION 2.50.040, TO ALLOW FOR THE USE OF CERTAIN TYPES OF HERBICIDES IN VARIOUS LOCATIONS ON COUNTY PROPERTY  (WAI-25)

 

Description

The Committee is in receipt of Resolution 26-123, entitled “AUTHORIZING A WAIVER UNDER SECTION 2.50.060, MAUI COUNTY CODE, FROM THE REQUIREMENTS OF CODE SECTION 2.50.040, TO ALLOW FOR THE USE OF CERTAIN TYPES OF HERBICIDES IN VARIOUS LOCATIONS ON COUNTY PROPERTY.”  Resolution 26-123’s purpose is to authorize a two-year waiver under Chapter 2.50, Maui County Code, to allow limited use of specific herbicide products in critical public safety areas alongside County roadways where non-chemical vegetation management methods have proven ineffective.

 

Status

The Committee may consider whether to recommend adoption of Resolution 26-123, with or without revisions.  The Committee may also consider the filing of Resolution 26-123 and other related action.
