Title

BILL 19 (2024), AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2024 BUDGET:  CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS, DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION (PĀʻIA-HAʻIKŪ COMMUNITY PLAN AREA, LOWER PĀʻIA PARK PARKING LOT)  (BFED-77)

 

Description

The Committee is in receipt of the following: 

1.                     Bill 19 (2024), entitled “A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2024 BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF MAUI, REVENUES; CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS, DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION, PĀʻIA-HAʻIKŪ COMMUNITY PLAN AREA; AND APPENDIX C, DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION, PĀʻIA-HAʻIKŪ COMMUNITY PLAN AREA.”  Bill 19’s purpose is to amend the Fiscal Year 2024 Budget by 1) amending Section 2, Estimated Revenues, by increasing Carryover/Savings from the General Fund by $510,500; 2) amending Section 4.D., Department of Parks and Recreation, by adding a new appropriation for the Pāʻia-Haʻikū Community Plan Area, Parks and Recreation, General Fund, entitled “Lower Pāʻia Park Parking Lot” in the amount of $510,500; 3) adjusting the totals accordingly; and 4) amending Appendix C - Capital Improvement Projects, Department of Parks and Recreation, by adding a new project and project description for the Pāʻia-Haʻikū Community Plan Area, entitled “Lower Pāʻia Park Parking Lot” in the amount of $510,500.

2.                     A Certification of Additional Revenues for Fiscal Year 2024, dated 01/19/2024, for $510,500 in Carryover/Savings from the General Fund.

 

Status

The Committee may consider whether to recommend passage of Bill 19 (2024) on first reading, with or without revisions.  The Committee may also consider the filing of Bill 19 (2024) and other related action.
