Title

BILL 82 (2025), AMENDING SECTION 10.04.030, MAUI COUNTY CODE, RELATING TO AUTHORIZED EMERGENCY VEHICLES  (DRIP-14)

 

Description

The Committee is in receipt of the following:

1.                     Bill 82 (2025), entitled “A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 10.04.030, MAUI COUNTY CODE, RELATING TO AUTHORIZED EMERGENCY VEHICLES.”  Bill 82’s purpose is to amend the definition of “authorized emergency vehicle” under the Maui Traffic Code to include emergency vehicles used by the Maui Emergency Management Agency.

2.                     An Amendment Summary Form, dated August 26, 2025, from the Committee Chair, with a proposed CD1 version of Bill 82 (2025).  The proposed CD1 version incorporates nonsubstantive revisions for clarity, consistency, and style.

 

Status

The Committee may consider whether to recommend passage of Bill 82 (2025) on first reading, with or without revisions.  The Committee may also consider the filing of Bill 82 (2025) and other related action.
