Title

BILL 127 (2023), RELATING TO AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF HAWAII FOR THE LEASE OF THE MAUI BUS TRANSIT HUB PROPERTY  (ADEPT-13)

 

Description

The Committee is in receipt of Bill 127 (2023), entitled “A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE COUNTY OF MAUI TO ENTER INTO AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF HAWAII FOR THE LEASE OF THE MAUI BUS TRANSIT HUB PROPERTY.”  Bill 127’s purpose is to authorize the Mayor to enter into an intergovernmental agreement with the Hawaiʻi Housing Finance and Development Corporation of the State of Hawaiʻi for the lease of a portion of property identified as Tax Map Key No. (2) 3-7-004:003, consisting of approximately 31,839 square feet, located at 153 West Kaʻahumanu Avenue, along Vevau Street, Kahului, Maui, Hawaiʻi, to be used for bus transit hub purposes for a term of sixty-five years.

 

Status

The Committee may consider whether to recommend passage of Bill 127 (2023) on first reading with or without revisions.  The Committee may also consider the filing of Bill 127 (2023) and other related action.
