CONDITIONAL PERMIT FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 588 KULAIWI DRIVE (WAILUKU)  (LU-23)

 

Description

The Committee is in receipt of County Communication 17-128, from the Planning Director, transmitting a proposed bill entitled “A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE GRANTING LEONA ROCHA WILSON, MANAGER OF LONA RIDGE, LLC, A CONDITIONAL PERMIT TO CONDUCT SPECIAL EVENTS, INCLUDING WEDDINGS, CORPORATE AND NON-PROFIT RECEPTIONS, WORKSHOPS, ART SHOWS, PHOTOGRAPHY SESSIONS, FILMING, AND SIMILAR EVENTS, AS WELL AS HAWAIIAN CULTURAL PRACTICES, WITHIN THE COUNTY AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT, FOR PROPERTY SITUATED AT 588 KULAIWI DRIVE AND IDENTIFIED AS TAX MAP KEY NUMBER (2) 3-5-002:010, WAILUKU, MAUI, HAWAII.”  The purpose of the proposed bill is to grant a request from Leona Rocha Wilson, Manager of Lona Ridge, LLC, a Conditional Permit to allow special events, including weddings, corporate and non-profit receptions, workshops, art shows, photography sessions, filming, and similar events, as well as Hawaiian cultural practices on 5.75 acres of land located at 588 Kulaiwi Drive, Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii.

 

Status

The Committee may consider whether to recommend passage of the proposed bill on first reading, with or without revisions.  The Committee may also consider the filing of County Communication 17-128 and other related action.
