BILL 124 (2023), AMENDING FISCAL YEAR 2024 BUDGET: DEPARTMENT OF FIRE AND PUBLIC SAFETY (FIRE/RESCUE OPERATIONS PROGRAM) (BFED-54)
Description
The Committee is in receipt of the following:
1. Bill 124 (2023), entitled “A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2024 BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF MAUI, REVENUES; AND DEPARTMENT OF FIRE AND PUBLIC SAFETY, FIRE/RESCUE OPERATIONS PROGRAM.” Bill 124’s purpose is to amend the Fiscal Year 2024 Budget by 1) amending Section 2, Estimated Revenues, by increasing Carryover/Savings from the General Fund by $2,000,000; 2) amending Section 3.B.6.c., Department of Fire and Public Safety, Fire/Rescue Operations Program, by increasing Category B (Operations & Equipment) and Total appropriations by $2,000,000; and 3) adjusting the totals accordingly.
2. A Certification of Additional Revenues for Fiscal Year 2024, dated November 15, 2023, for $2,000,000 in Carryover/Savings from the General Fund.
Status
The Committee may consider whether to recommend passage of Bill 124 (2023) on first reading, with or without revisions. The Committee may also consider whether to recommend the filing of Bill 124 (2023) and other related action.
