RESOLUTION 26-147, SETTLEMENT AUTHORIZATION: KATHLEEN PLATT V. COUNTY OF MAUI, ET AL.; CIVIL 2CCV-25-0003688  (GREAT-11(37))

 

Description

The Committee is in receipt of the following:

1.                     Resolution 26-147, entitled “AUTHORIZING SETTLEMENT OF KATHLEEN PLATT vs. COUNTY OF MAUI, ET AL.; CIVIL CASE 2CCV-25-0003688.”  Resolution 26-147’s purpose is to approve settlement of the claim filed on October 8, 2025. The claim alleges negligence and premises liability from an incident that occurred on March 8, 2024, at Kulamalu Park in Pukalani, Hawai‘i.

2.                     Correspondence dated August 24, 2026, from the Department of the Corporation Counsel, transmitting the proposed resolution and a copy of the complaint.

Status

The Committee may consider whether to recommend adoption of Resolution 26-147, with or without revisions. The Committee may also consider the filing of Resolution 26-147 and other related action.

Note
