CONDITIONAL PERMIT FOR PROPOSED HELISTOP PAD AND RELATED IMPROVEMENTS (LANAI) (LU-32)
Description
The Committee is in receipt of the following:
1. County Communication 16-277, from the Planning Director, transmitting a proposed bill granting a Conditional Permit to construct a helistop pad at Manele, Lanai, Hawaii.
2. Correspondence dated February 2, 2017, from the Department of the Corporation Counsel, transmitting a revised proposed bill entitled “A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE GRANTING LANA`I RESORTS, LLC, DBA PULAMA LANA`I, A CONDITIONAL PERMIT TO DEVELOP A HELISTOP PAD AND RELATED IMPROVEMENTS WITHIN THE COUNTY AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT, FOR PROPERTY IDENTIFIED AS A PORTION OF TAX MAP KEY NUMBER (2) 4-9-002:001, MANELE, LANAI, HAWAII.” The purpose of the proposed bill is to grant a request from Lana`i Resorts, dba Pulama Lanai for a Conditional Use Permit comprising approximately 0.9 acres of land for a helistop pad situated at Manele, Lanai, Hawaii.
Status
The Committee may consider whether to recommend passage of the revised proposed bill on first reading, with or without revisions. The Committee may also consider the filing of County Communication 16-277 and other related action.
