Title

RESOLUTION 25-141, SETTLEMENT AUTHORIZATION: JEFFREY NAVARES, CLAIM 2023-1128 (PROPERTY DAMAGE)  (GREAT-11(18))

 

Description

The Committee is in receipt of the following:

1.                     Resolution 25-141, entitled “AUTHORIZING SETTLEMENT OF JMC CLAIM 4086753, COUNTY OF MAUI, RISK FILE 2023-1128 OF JEFFREY NAVARES.”  Resolution 25-141’s purpose is to approve settlement of the claim, filed on November 13, 2023, in the amount of $62,986.66.  The claim alleges negligence against the County from an alleged misdirected water sprinkler occurring on or about October 27, 2023.

2.                     Correspondence dated June 26, 2025, from the Department of the Corporation Counsel, transmitting a copy of the claim.

 

Status

The Committee may consider whether to recommend adoption of Resolution 25-141, with or without revisions.  The Committee may also consider the filing of Resolution 25-141 and other related action.

 

Note
