RESOLUTION 24-111, RELATING TO THE APPOINTMENT OF KUMU HULA KAPONO‘AI MOLITAU AS DIRECTOR OF ‘ŌIWI RESOURCES (GREAT-1(14))
Description
The Committee is in receipt of Resolution 24-111, entitled “APPROVING THE APPOINTMENT OF KUMU HULA KAPONOʻAI MOLITAU AS THE DIRECTOR OF THE DEPARTMENT OF ‘ŌIWI RESOURCES.” Resolution 24-111’s purpose is to approve the appointment of Kumu Hula Kaponoʻai Molitau as the Director of the Department of ‘Ōiwi Resources, effective July 1, 2024, in accordance with Section 8-21.2 of the Revised Charter of the County of Maui (1983), as amended.
Status
The Committee may consider whether to recommend adoption of Resolution 24-111 to approve the appointment, with or without revisions. The Committee may also consider whether to revise Resolution 24-111 to disapprove the appointment, and other related action.
Note
With reference to this agenda item, one or more executive meetings are anticipated in accordance with Section 92-5(a)(2), Hawaiʻi Revised Statutes, to consider the hire, evaluation, dismissal, or discipline of officers or employees; and Section 92-5(a)(4), Hawaiʻi Revised Statutes, to consult with legal counsel on questions and issues pertaining to the powers, duties, privileges, immunities, and liabilities of the County, the Council, and the Committee.
