REVIEW OF NATIONAL POLLUTION DISCHARGE ELIMINATION SYSTEM (NPDES) AND UNDERGROUND INJECTION CONTROL (UIC) PERMITS AS IT RELATES TO PROTECTING THE NATURAL ENVIRONMENT (CAR-1(7))
Description
In accordance with Rule 7(B) of the Rules of the Council, the Committee intends to receive a presentation and discuss matters relating to National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) and Underground Injection Control (UIC) permits as it relates to protecting the natural environment.
Status
The Committee may receive presentations from Norris Uehara, Safe Drinking Water Branch Section Supervisor, Environmental Management Division, State of Hawai‘i Department of Health; and Darryl Lum, Engineering Section Supervisor, Clean Water Branch, State of Hawai‘i Department of Health, and discuss NPDES and UIC permits as it relates to protecting the natural environment and other related matters. The Committee may also hear from the Department of Environmental Management. No legislative action will be taken.
