RESOLUTION 25-116, SETTLEMENT AUTHORIZATION: FIRST FIRE AND CASUALTY INSURANCE OF HAWAII, INC. V. COUNTY OF MAUI, ET AL., CIVIL 2CCV-24-0001055  (GREAT-11(14))

 

Description

The Committee is in receipt of the following:

1.                     Resolution 25-116, entitled “AUTHORIZING SETTLEMENT OF FIRST FIRE AND CASUALTY INSURANCE OF HAWAII, INC. v. COUNTY OF MAUI, ET AL.; CIVIL FILE: 2CCV-24-0001055.”  Resolution 25-116’s purpose is to approve settlement of the claim, filed on December 17, 2024.  The claim alleges negligence, respondeat superior, and vicarious liability relating to an incident that occurred on December 19, 2022.

2.                     Correspondence dated May 8, 2025, from the Department of the Corporation Counsel, transmitting a copy of the claim.

 

Status

The Committee may consider whether to recommend adoption of Resolution 25-116, with or without revisions.  The Committee may also consider the filing of Resolution 25-116 and other related action.

 

Note
