Description
Under Rule 7(B) of the Rules of the Council, the Committee intends to review and discuss Resolution 26-116, authorizing the acquisition of water system assets from Launiupoko Water Co., Inc. and Olowalu Water Company, Inc. The Council referred Resolution 26-116 to its Budget, Finance, and Economic Development Committee on July 7, 2026, where the resolution remains pending.
Status
The Committee may discuss and receive updates on Resolution 26-116, which authorizes the acquisition of water system assets from Launiupoko Water Co., Inc. and Olowalu Water Company, Inc. for an amount not to exceed $6,000,000, exclusive of closing costs and expenses, under Subsection 3.44.015(C), Maui County Code. The Committee may also discuss other related matters. No legislative action will be taken.
