BILL 77 (2026), USE OF THE AFFORDABLE HOUSING FUND FOR THE COUNTY’S HOUSELESS POPULATION  (WASSP-11)

 

Description

The Committee is in receipt of Bill 77 (2026), entitled “A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE ON USING THE AFFORDABLE HOUSING FUND TO PROVIDE SUITABLE LIVING ENVIRONMENTS FOR THE COUNTY’S HOUSELESS POPULATION.”  Bill 77’s purpose is to require a portion of the Affordable Housing Fund be used to systemically address housing needs and provide suitable living environments for County residents who are houseless.

 

Status

The Committee may consider whether to recommend the passage of Bill 77 (2026) on first reading, with or without revisions.  The Committee may also consider the filing of Bill 77 (2026) and other related action.
