MOLOKA`I COMMUNITY PLAN UPDATE (PC-2)
Description
The Committee is in receipt of the following:
1. County Communication 16-98, from the Planning Director, transmitting the following:
a. A proposed bill amending Section 2.80B.070, Maui County Code, to adopt the decennial revisions to the Moloka`i Community Plan.
b. A document entitled “Key Differences Between CPAC [Community Plan Advisory Committee] and Commission Recommendations.”
c. A document entitled “Agency Recommendations” of the Department of Public Works, Department of Water Supply, Office of Economic Development - Energy Office, and Civil Defense.
d. A document entitled “Moloka`i Community Plan Update, Planning Department/CPAC/Molokai PC Draft.”
2. Correspondence dated July 18, 2018, from the Chair of the Committee, transmitting a legislative proposal relating to revisions to Appendices 6.1 and 6.2.
3. Correspondence dated September 10, 2018, from the Chair of the Committee, transmitting a revised proposed bill entitled “A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2.80B.070, MAUI COUNTY CODE, TO ADOPT THE UPDATED MOLOKA`I ISLAND COMMUNITY PLAN.” The purpose of the revised proposed bill is to adopt the decennial revisions to the Moloka`i Island Community Plan, pursuant to Section 2.80B.090, Maui County Code. The revised proposed bill’s Exhibit “1” is the proposed updated Moloka`i Island Community Plan (2018), incorporating revisions recommended by the Committee.
Status
The Committee may consider whether to recommend that a public hearing be held on the revised proposed bill noted in paragraph 3 above, with or without further revisions, and that the revised proposed bill be scheduled for first reading. The Committee may also consider the filing of County Communication 16-98 and other related action.
