Description
The Committee is in receipt of the following:
1. Correspondence dated November 29, 2017, from the Budget Director, transmitting a proposed bill to amend Appendix A, Part I, Grant Revenue - Schedule of Grants by Departments and Programs, Fiscal Year 2018 Budget, by replacing the existing grant title to accurately reflect the granting agency.
2. Correspondence dated December 7, 2017, from the Budget Director, transmitting a revised proposed bill entitled “A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2018 BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF MAUI AS IT PERTAINS TO APPENDIX A, PART I, GRANT REVENUE - SCHEDULE OF GRANTS BY DEPARTMENTS AND PROGRAMS, DEPARTMENT OF FIRE AND PUBLIC SAFETY (STATE OF HAWAII DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION HIGHWAY SAFETY GRANTS).” The purpose of the revised proposed bill is to amend Appendix A, Part I, Grant Revenue - Schedule of Grants by Departments and Programs, Fiscal Year 2018 Budget, by replacing the existing grant title “National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA) Highway Safety Grant” with “State of Hawaii Department of Transportation Highway Safety Grants” to accurately reflect the granting agency.
Status
The Committee may consider whether to recommend passage of the revised proposed bill on first reading, with or without further revisions. The Committee may also consider the filing of the correspondence and other related action.
