Description
The Committee is in receipt of Bill 68 (2026), entitled “A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 10, ARTICLE II, MAUI COUNTY CODE, ON SPECIAL PARKING REGULATIONS.” Bill 68’s purpose is to:
1. Authorize paid parking zones and permit parking zones in West Maui.
2. Establish Resident Town Benefit locations in paid parking zones in Wailuku and West Maui.
3. Amend the Resident Recreation Hours locations in South Maui beach parks paid parking zones.
4. Remove outdated references to parking lots, piers, and loading zones in West Maui.
Status
The Committee may consider whether to recommend passage of Bill 68 (2026) on first reading, with or without revisions. The Committee may also consider the filing of Bill 68 (2026) and other related action.
