LITIGATION MATTERS (RESOLUTION 24-18, RELATING TO SETTLEMENT AUTHORIZATION:  MAUI ELECTRIC COMPANY, LIMITED’S CROSS-CLAIM AGAINST THE COUNTY OF MAUI IN YOGI, TERENCE & DIANE V. E.H. A MINOR, ET AL., CASE 2CC-18-000408) (GREAT-11(39)

 

Description

The Committee is in receipt of the following:

1.                     Resolution 24-18, entitled “AUTHORIZING SETTLEMENT OF MAUI ELECTRIC COMPANY, LIMITED’S CROSS-CLAIM AGAINST THE COUNTY OF MAUI IN YOGI, TERENCE & DIANE v. E.H. a minor, et. al., CASE NO. 2CC-18-000408.”  Resolution 24-18’s purpose is to authorize settlement of the claim, filed on September 8, 2020.  The claim alleges wrongful death arising from a motor vehicle accident that occurred on September 11, 2020, on Hansen Road in Kahului, Maui, Hawai‘i.

2.                     Correspondence dated February 6, 2024, from the Department of the Corporation Counsel, with a copy of the claim.

 

Status

The Committee may consider whether to recommend adoption of Resolution 24-18, with or without revisions.  The Committee may also consider the filing of Resolution 24-18 and other related action.

 

Note
