Title

RESOLUTION 26-5, AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF COMPACT RAPID DEPLOYABLE TOWERS FROM STCOMMS, INC, FOR USE BY THE DEPARTMENT OF FIRE AND PUBLIC SAFETY  (DRIP-21)

Description

The Committee is in receipt of Resolution 26-5, entitled “AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF COMPACT RAPID DEPLOYABLE TOWERS FROM STCOMMS INC, FOR USE BY THE DEPARTMENT OF FIRE AND PUBLIC SAFETY, UNDER SECTION 3.56.030, MAUI COUNTY CODE.”  Resolution 26-5’s purpose appears to be to authorize the acceptance of a donation of the use, for one year, of four mini cell towers described in the Resolution’s Exhibit “A” from STComms, Inc.  The unspecified cost-stated to exceed the $750 threshold requiring Council approval-of allowing the County to use the equipment for a year would be the donation’s value.  As proposed, the equipment would be used by the Department of Fire and Public Safety and the donation accepted by the Council under Section 3.56.030, Maui County Code.

Status

The Committee may consider whether to recommend adoption of Resolution 26-5, with or without revisions.  The Committee may also consider the filing of Resolution 26-5 and other related action.
