INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE OFFICE OF THE AUDITOR, STATE OF HAWAII (BF-73)
Description
The Committee is in receipt of County Communication 16-123, from the Director of Finance, transmitting a proposed bill entitled “A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE COUNTY OF MAUI TO ENTER INTO AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE OFFICE OF THE AUDITOR, STATE OF HAWAII, TO AUDIT THE SCHEDULE OF ALLOCATIONS OF THE EMPLOYEES’ RETIREMENT SYSTEM OF THE STATE OF HAWAII (ers).” The purpose of the proposed bill is to authorize the Mayor to enter into an intergovernmental agreement with the Office of the Auditor, State of Hawaii, to audit the schedule of allocations of the State Employees’ Retirement System, as required by Governmental Accounting Standards Board Statement 68, for the Fiscal Year ended June 30, 2015. The Memorandum of Understanding authorizes the payment of $3,900 by the County of Maui for this purpose.
Status
The Committee may consider whether to recommend passage of the proposed bill on first reading, with or without revisions. The Committee may also consider the filing of County Communication 16-123 and other related action.
