ACQUISITION OF FOUR PARCELS TOTALING 267.7 ACRES AT KUIAHA, HAMAKUALOA, MAUI (BF-91)
Description
The Committee is in receipt of the following:
1. County Communication 16-147, from the Director of Finance, transmitting a proposed resolution to approve the acquisition of four lots in the Haiku Sugar East Subdivision comprising 267.74 acres.
2. Correspondence dated August 3, 2016, from the Department of the Corporation Counsel, transmitting a revised proposed resolution entitled “APPROVING THE ACQUISITION OF FOUR PARCELS TOTALING APPROXIMATELY 267.7 ACRES AT KUIAHA, HAMAKUALOA, MAUI, HAWAII.” The purpose of the revised proposed resolution is to approve the acquisition of four lots in the Haiku Sugar East Subdivision comprising 267.74 acres, as follows: Lot 1, identified for real property tax purposes as tax map key (2) 2-7-007:079, 182.44 acres; Lot 3, tax map key (2) 2-7-007:081, 33.84 acres; Lot 4, tax map key (2) 2-7-007:082, 37.95 acres; and Lot 5, tax map key (2) 2-7-007:083, 13.51 acres, Kuiaha, Hamakualoa, Maui, Hawaii. The land acquisition and related costs total $9,495,000.
Status
The Committee may consider whether to recommend adoption of the revised proposed resolution, with or without further revisions. The Committee may also consider the filing of County Communication 16-147 and other related action.
