APPROVING INSTALLATION OF SIRENS FOR THE HAWAII STATE EMERGENCY OUTDOOR SIREN WARNING SYSTEM (PIA-70)
Description
The Committee is in receipt of the following:
1. County Communication 16-135, from the Mayor, relating to the installation of sirens in the County of Maui relating to the Hawaii State Emergency Outdoor Siren Warning System.
2. County Communication 16-189, from the Emergency Management Officer, transmitting a proposed resolution entitled ""APPROVING THE INSTALLATION OF SIRENS IN THE COUNTY OF MAUI RELATING TO THE HAWAII STATE EMERGENCY OUTDOOR SIREN WARNING SYSTEM," and related documents." The purpose of the proposed resolution is to authorize the Mayor to enter into lease agreements for the installation of emergency outdoor warning systems on County-owned properties situated at: (1) Lae Park, identified as TMK (2) 2-5-005-060 (por.); (2) St. Theresa Church, identified as TMK (2) 3-9-009:013 (por.); (3) Kalama Park, identified as (2) 3 9-005-052 (por.); (4) Kamaole Park, identified as TMK (2) 3-9-005:030 (por.); (5) Kilohana Park, identified as TMK (2) 2-1-008:097 (por,); (6) Kahului School Park, identified as TMK (2) 3-8-007:041 (por.); (7) Hale Piilani Park, identified as TMK (2) 3 8-004:031 (por.); (8) Keokea Park, identified as TMK (2) 2-2-003:031 (por.); (9) Haliimaile Park, identified as TMK (2) 2-5-008:001 (por.); (10) Mokuhau Park, identified as TMK (2) 3-4-035:057 (por.); (11) Kelawea Mauka III Park, identified as TMK (2) 4-5-034:046 (por.); and (12) Kaunakakai, Molokai, identified as TMK (2) 5 3 003-012 (por.), pursuant to the Memorandum of Agreement dated April 16, 2014, between the County, State Department of Accounting and General Services, and Federal Department of Defense to coordinate implementation, planning, design, and construction of the Hawaii State Emergency Outdoor Siren Warning system
