2.                     Correspondence dated August 25, 2016, from the Planning Director, transmitting comments and recommendations from the Lanai, Maui, and Molokai planning commissions on the proposed bill attached as Exhibit “1” to Resolution 15-139, adopted November 6, 2015.

3.                     Correspondence dated September 13, 2016, from Committee Chair Don Couch, transmitting a proposed bill entitled “A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO TRANSIENT VACATION RENTALS IN PLANNED DEVELOPMENTS.”  The proposed bill, previously attached as an exhibit only to Resolution 15-139, would allow transient vacation rental use in planned developments with residential zoning containing a combination of single-family and multifamily dwelling units, but would not allow the use in planned developments containing exclusively single-family dwelling units.
